This bachelor´s thesis deals with verification of bacteria Listeria spp. in food production environment by swabbing methods and PCR methods. The theoretical part includes an introduction to the genus Listeria. It describes the disease caused by this bacteria, its symptoms and treatment. It discusses the topic of nucleic acids, DNA and also introduces the various methods for determining the presence of Listeria spp. These methods are tested and compared with each other in the experimental part.
